UFC Short notice Fights
Mr. Lucky 👊🏽
Since when has a fighter got off the couch with less than 2 week notice and won the bout?
Now I can remember fighters on the Prelims doing that, but I don't recall any fights with a title on the line or heavy stakes involved. That a top 10 fighter came in on less than 2 weeks notice and no camp. Won the bout…..
What if Volk and Usman both had a full camp? Would it make a difference ? Absolutely it would. A full camp covers all bases.
Save the Card at all costs! Especially a PPV. I am sure Dana goes deep into the pockets for those fighters that do get up off the couch and do the UFC a solid.
Is it worth it? It depends …. Money or Legacy which is more important at the moment. Volk and Usman both are millionaires and dont need the money. You know the UFC came knocking on the door and asked them to save the card. They are company men. The UFC has made them relevant, house hold names, and very rich. They did save UFC 294, but at what cost? Their legacy is tainted. Before 294, they had a mystique about them. Volk looked unbeatable, Usman was riding a takedown #1 defense. After 294 they looked vulnerable on many levels.
